New York round dos

Why does the word and concept 'forgot' exist? I'm sure everyone would be happy to just do away with 'forgetting' anything. This past weekend, I flew to New York to visit my boyfriend. In the process and travel and hustle I 'forgot' my coat. It's 10 degrees in New York. I FORGOT MY COAT. Probably the single most important thing I needed to remember. But it didn't fit in my carry on and I was only going to be there for the weekend so I didn't check a bag. So I relied on hanging it over my suitcase. Welp, that may have worked if I had only remembered to bring it.
Naturally, when crisises like those arise, I'm torn. I arrive at a street corner between 'how could you have done this you're so stupid' and 'there's no use worrying about it, I'll just have to buy one when I get there' and I go back and forth between the two. So I called my mom, which most definitely was not the thing to do when I was panicking. I love my mom but she was not pleased with me. She proceeded to tell me how I better not get the flu and how she knows someone who just died because of the flu etc. Super comforting.
Luckily, I have the best friends ever and my boyfriend was able to find one for me to borrow for the weekend. But those few minutes in the freezing weather with no heavy coat have solidified my hate for the concept of forgetting.

Here's to hoping that my next travel adventure starts off a bit better, and with more 'remembering' going on.

I got this super cute high-low dress at marshalls for $15!

I also got these BCBG heels for $40 at Marshalls.

My beautiful, wonderful, amazing sister who I love very very much got me these super cute earrings for Valentines day!<33333 I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

I’m also working on a music video for my theatre class so I will make sure I post that on here!

My recent obsession is this app called Wanelo. If you haven’t heard of it, its basically like Pinterest but it you can actually buy the stuff. I haven’t bought anything yet but I can still spend hours on that app!

Hannah also told me to listen to this song called “Firefly” by Ed Sheeran and I literally cannot stop listening to it.

I’m also very excited for my Quincenera that’s coming up in March! Im having lots of fun planning it with my mom and can’t wait to turn 15!

 

We are also looking for a puppy because we recently had to put my dog down. We’re still very sad but I’m excited to rescue another dog. J

Out of the Closet

Well...it's still summer in South Florida. It's been 80 degrees pretty much all break long. Christmas just feels a little different when you're in your bathing suit on the beach. Not that I'm complaining...

Happy New Year!

Hey everybody! I had so much fun this winter break and I hope you did too! Hannah and I had fun going from the beach, to the mall, mini golfing, Boomers, and much much more. I'm definitely going to miss having both my siblings home. I hope you all have a great year!

Is it 2013 already?! I can't believe 2012 is gone. Wasn't the world supposed to end? Oh well, I'm glad it didn't :)

Out of the Closet

And by out of the closet I mean... Outfit post! Things have been kinda crazy here with working everyday and Maia finishing up all her exams and such. But the weather has finally gotten a little cooler just in time for Christmas!

So here's an outfit that I may or may not have worn multiple times over the past week....(don't judge me c: )



So these are the boots that I ordered from ShoeDazzle! They were only $30 and they are super comfortable. I get a ton of compliments whenever I wear them! I'm so happy with my purchase :)


These maroon jeans I got from target for like $20. And the sweater I stole from Maia's closet (you may recognize it from the previous outfit post....)


Merry Christmas Eve! And Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying this time to relax and be with family and friends and to be reminded about what's really important in life.
